Day 15 - (19th May) Installation of rubbish chute ... and meeting Jason for the first time :)

At around 9.10am this morning, Ah Soon's worker called me to inform me that he would be going to my unit to install the rubbish chute ... FINALLY ! I do not need to fear that my boy would fall into the dark hole one day ! Unfortunately, the hole that was left for the chute was too small and the installer needs to chisel away some part of the chute ... the result was that the sides of the wall and some tiles were chisled off ...

As for painters, they are currently at Tampines 2XX. Uncle said that they cannot finish and thus can only come down tomorrow instead....

I also called Ah Hock and he said the will get his man down to look at the shower screen. They never appear ... Ah Hock also caught Uncle's forgetful disease???? hahaha ...

The surprise for the day was that Jason called me at around 2.10pm and asked about the rubbish chute. I told him that it had been installed (apparently, it seems that it was Jason that arranged for the rubbish chute instead of Uncle ???). I also told Jason about the Shower Screen and painting. Over the phone, he said that he must go down to my place at around 4pm to take a look and around 3pm he suddenly called me asked whether I can meet him now as he had just finished with a unit at Bukit Batok. I immediately took an hr time-off and rushed down to my flat.

I was really glad that Jason came because he immediately called up the paint shop to order the paints for the living room and master bedroom (seems like Uncle forgot about this again ....) and protective sheets for covering the floor/ furniture. Jason also called up Ah Hock to remind him again of the shower screen and he assured me that he would be here to measure the size of the stainless steel backing required after the cabinets are installed.

We finally got to see the other legendary figure - Jason, although on the least expected occasion :)

Pics from Day 15 -

Trying to fit the rubbish chute into the hole

Realised that the hole was too narrow ????

No choice have to chisel away some tiles to make way for the chute ...

Chute finally went in and tightened with screws ...

Applying silicone around ...

Finished product :) [Finally no more bad smell from the dark hole !@]

Jason's phone was out of juice and had to be recharged while talking to the paint supplier
